What John Cheah doesn't like about Faris Kitchen:
here at 18.30 clock place was not packed. seats are quite limited. they have to order and pay at the desk. roti john was delicious. the Char-Key-Teow can be improved, it was quite bland. her food preparation was fast. there are limited choices of drinks and means of living, as their main article is their roti john. nasi lemak is also available. overall, great for a quick bite. 1. The nasi lemak ayam telur was just okay. However, at the price of RM5.50, it was not worth it. The chicken size and sambal need to be improved. The taste was just okay, but I may consider coming back for it. 2. The roti john was priced at RM15, with no option to order a smaller size. It would be better to have both small and big sizes available for customers. The taste was perfect, and I would definitely return for it. 3. The char kueh teow sotong gergasi was a major disappointment. After seeing pictures on Facebook, we traveled from Melaka to try it. However, the dish failed to meet our expectations. At RM15, I would not order it again. The CKT gravy was not up to standard, with small prawns and cuttlefish that were not as advertised. Overall, it was a letdown, and I would not return for it. 4. The self-service ordering system was okay, but having customers retrieve their own orders was not ideal. It would be better to have orders delivered to the customer's table. Additionally, smiling at customers would improve the overall service. 5. The washing station lacked soap, which could be improved for customer satisfaction. Price is not the only factor, as serving good food with generous portions and improving service can make a big difference. May Allah bless the restaurant with prosperity. Thank you.
The nasi lemak sambal was overly salty and spicy for my liking. I ordered the Nasi Lemak Sotong, but unfortunately it lacked the basic essentials such as egg, peanuts, and cucumber that are expected with nasi lemak.
The atmosphere of the restaurant is pleasant thanks to its open space. Parking is available beside the road near the shop. The sambal is extremely hot and spicy, which may not be suitable for everyone's taste. The Roti John tasted like plain bread with sauce, onions, and only eggs, making it unremarkable. The Jakarta-style corn drink was said to be overly sweet by my friend. Overall, it's okay for a visitor like me, but I wouldn't choose to dine here again, sorry.
Redi john and mais juice have to try! chat kuey teow is wet version with some sauces, but tasty, Chinese call that wok hei fried squid quite crispy too. only the service can be delayed due to high customer quantity.
