Fantastic weekend break with my husband. The Foyle Hotel had been highly recommended and we would not hesitate to agree. From the minute we walked through the door the staff were so welcoming and showed us to the reception where we were greeted by Brenda. Having battled through ‘storm Jorge’ we were delighted to find our room was comfortable, cosy and well equipped. The homemade biscuits on the refreshment tray were delicious. Our dinner was amazing. Spoilt for choice. Brian’s team in the kitchen and dining room could not have done anything more to improve our culinary experience. Our leisurely breakfast the following morning was of equally high standard with an extensive choice of dishes available. Again delicious and cooked to perfection. Setting us up for the day and drive home. Brian came out of the kitchen to see us off and have a chat. Such a friendly gesture. Until the next time. Thank you. Niki and Pat x

The service was absolutely excellent but was surpassed b... read more Four of us with very different tastes called in without a reservation and received a very warm welcome. The service was absolutely excellent but was surpassed by the wonderful food. I had the mussels followed by the most divine hake truly melts in the mouth and a beautiful combination of flavours. My family really enjoyed the chicken and especially the mushroom croquet. We finished off with a selection of delicious deserts. Then a bracing afternoon walk. Can’t wait to return but in the meantime I’ve Brian’s cookbook to whip up wonderful meals sadly won’t be a patch on his! Thank you.
