The restaurant always has a great atmosphere, the tables were all booked, so a lovely ambience. The situation of this restaurant and the building itself is in a lovely location sitting...just above the harbour of Mousehole. Staff are always very polite, helpful, friendly and accommodating. Great quality and varied menu, food never disappoints. Excellent wines by the glass including some local Cornish wines. Highly recommend, be sure to book.

The restaurant is well lit in other words too bright and... read more We had come down from North Yorkshire for a few days, and chose Fore Street for our last nights dinner. The restaurant is well lit in other words too bright and with no background music I presume they don’t want to pay...for a commercial licence) the restaurant was very much lacking. The staff were extremely friendly, however the majority of the fayre was very underwhelming. We had to send the so called jungle curry back, which must have been an embarrassment to the chef, as it was awful. They did offer to change it for another dish, which when we received the bill they had put the replacement dish on the bill as well as the jungle curry!! Sorry but that’s “ below the belt”, and certainly wasn’t a mistake!!!

We were wondering around trying to find anywhere to eat after parking up and really struggled to get anything even take away as I’m vegetarian and my parents are both pretty fussy. We went in and were offered a table straight away, the staff really went out of their way and were so accommodating to us and several other large parties that really wanted to sit in. The food was simply out of this world, the best I’ve EVER had in a restaurant. Freshly made and beautifully done, we were so so impressed. So worth the money and definitely a MUST visit.
