Is a very relax place with very nice atmosphere, and great animation. Also a great place to some drinks over the night.

We remained... read more We enjoyed a lovely evening. We arrived 'early ', around 8 pm and where one of the first guests but in the 2 hours after that people kept arriving. We remained to be the only non-Portugese guests which, for us, is a HUGE bonus. It was an utter joy to sit back, enjoy an excellent local wine and just observe, listen, and soak in the atmosphere. The place is run by a family, husband and wife, and he speaks English well. We chatted for several minutes at several moments during the evening. He took his time with us and we talked about life, the weather, his family, and food. The food was delicious and everything we would expect in a Portugese food-bar. We had a plank with some cold cuts, cheeses and some other flavors, a yummie bread filled with melted cheese and ham and a big, big Green salad with tuna and crabs tick, rich in crunch and the vitamines our bodies craved for. Oh, and did I mention the excellent local red wine? This place is not for fine dining. You sit on a terras on the town square with locals passing by and joining friends at tables. This place is for those who want a taste of Portugal, this place is Portugal.

All staff were very friendl... read more We dinned twice in Praca Forte on our 4 nights stay in Moura. Great food and a lovely atmosphere sat outside on balmy warm evenings. All staff were very friendly and luckily for us spoke English. The menu is varied but focuses on typical dishes of the region, the Black Pig features heavily and so it should do being a regional speciality. Wine as you would expect from a wine region was excellent. Will definitely return to Praca Forte.
