Contribute FeedbackBovella's offers a charming blend of diner and bakery vibes, with a reputation for delicious pastries and attentive service. While many customers rave about the quality of food and friendly staff, particularly during dine-in experiences, others have faced challenges with order accuracy, rudeness during disputes, and stale offerings during off-hours. Positive notes highlight delectable items like wedding cakes and insightful staff interactions. However, inconsistencies in service and menu clarity suggest a need for improvement in staff training and communication. Overall, while Bovella’s has its high points, customer experiences vary significantly.
When I called the day before to confirm the pick-up time, the staff struggled to locate my cake, citing that sugar-free cakes are kept in a different fridge. On the day of pick-up, I was given a chocolate cake instead of the vanilla one I had ordered. When I politely explained that I had always received a vanilla cake in the past, the baker was rude and unhelpful, insisting that I should have specified my preference. Despite my repeated insistence that I had never been given choices before, the staff continued to blame me for their mistake. Ultimately, the manager offered a refund and a free cake in an attempt to appease me, but the lack of accountability and disrespect shown by the staff left me extremely disappointed. I will not be returning to this restaurant and cannot recommend it to others. It is essential for businesses to train their employees properly, communicate changes to the menu, and ensure that customers are valued and respected. My experience at this restaurant was a clear example of how not to treat customers, and I will not be supporting them in the future.
There is no service available after 3pm. I wish I had known this before coming to the restaurant. My child and I stood in front of the counter for over 5 minutes while the staff member ignored us, and then a man came and rudely informed us that the kitchen was closed after 3pm, leaving us with only old cookies and stale pastries to choose from.
For many years I have been a customer of this Bakery, Westfield or Route 22, all very delicious and fresh. Yesterday I went to buy some small cakes and believe me I didn't like them at all. dry and old cakes, Napolitano is no longer the same. Is it because I heard that they are new owners now? and everything has changed.
First time there. Service was great, girls taking the orders were very friendly. Place was nice and clean. However I did think the items were a bit pricey. I got 1/2 pound cookies, 2 cake slices and chicken and waffles. And ummmm, the food was just ok. The chicken was just “ok” kind of bland in my opinion. It was not what I expected after being told it’s pretty good. Nice establishment tho.
What a Father’s Day morning. So we just walked out of this place with our 4 year old son. Walked in no one to greet us? Saw a worker asked do we sit anywhere and the girl in front was like “sure”. So we sat ourselves. Waited for a waiter/waitress no one ever came to the table. Wife had to get up ask a different staff member for menus . Still waiting… Old white couple walks right in after us were seated given menus immediately!!! The vibe of this place screams racist as soon as you walk in. If you’re a person of color, prepare to be ignored. We got up and walked out and upon walking out, the staff just looked at us.
