Some enjoyed the Mahi and lobster bisque, while others found the crab cakes and cocktails disappointing. The staff received mixed reviews, with some praising the bartenders and others criticizing the table service. The atmosphere was generally positive, with comments on the beautiful decor and friendly staff. The menu was diverse and delicious, with Chef Percy receiving praise for checking on diners personally. While some experienced issues with reservations and pricing, overall it seems like a decent choice for a meal in Telluride's Mountain Village.
We were very disappointed. There was a large group starting to arrive at same time as us seeming to get all of the attention. Our waitperson very unattentive. Took drink order and starter order. Said would take 20 mins. Came back and took rest of order 1 salad, 2 lobster bisques, and 3 entrees. At about 20 mins brought salad and starter. Still no drinks. Later brought 2 soups terrible tomato soup with pieces of lobster added. Had to chase down waitperson for spoons. Expected better for high cost.
Food was amazing! May be our favorite in Mountain Village!
We eat at the View every visit to Telluride. It’s a hidden gem. Really delicious food and friendly service.
O my goodness, what a disappointment this restaurant was. The service was acceptable. The food was ridiculously below average, for a restaurant in Mountain Village. We tried it but would never go back!
This place is a hotel restaurant that is off the beaten path. On our first visit, although it was less than half full, the hotel manager frowned on us as walk ins, so reservations are best and usually plentiful. The burgers were tasty, but the meat was slightly overcooked and dry. We gave it another try and ordered a pasta dish and a salmon salad. The meal was well prepared and a very large plate of food. The drinks are pricey. When we paid, the server charged us the wrong bill from another table. I asked to speak with the manager and was told there is no manager, that the restaurant is managed by Mountain Lodge. I cleared up the tab and left. This was an anomaly as there are so many great restaurants in Telluride and Mountain Village.
