I know everyone tries the sushi and tempura but try the curry dishes at Sushi 85. The pork Katsu curry is my favorite and is very satisfying when the weather's cold. Warms you up and is very filling. A bottle of hot sake is also recommended. Service is always friendly and fast. View all feedback.
What Merry Yen doesn't like about Yama Sushi Japanese:
Decent neighborhood sushi restaurant. It looks like they do a lot of takeout orders at lunch.Service varies depends on which server you get. Sushi rolls are decent though slightly over seasoned for my taste.Good place to grab a quick lunch as they are not super busy. View all feedback.

I really like this place! I’ve only ever gotten the Lunch Bento Box with chicken katsu and California rolls. It’s delicious; the katsu has a nice crunchy breading while still being tender, the rolls are flavorful, and the presentation is always wonderful. Just look at that orange! When I went, it was empty besides my table and one other group. That group had a person needing accommodations, and they asked the (very friendly! server if it would be possible to turn down the ceiling lights in their section. It was done in an instant, and I was really impressed with their hospitality and understanding.
Went for all you can eat sushi, the fish itself was good. However the rice started off thick and got thicker with every portion ordered which was very dissatisfying. The last plate of nigiri I received the fish was sliced so thinly it was falling apart on top of the rice balls which rivaled golf balls in size at this point. The service was quite good as I was the only patron in the restaurant for the majority of my almost 2 hour dining experience. Will not recommend and will not return.Unfortunate that I spent almost 70 dollars on what amounted to large portions of rice.
Went in there craving all you can eat sushi. Initially, we were disappointed because when we were seated, we were only given regular menus . Upon asking, they did give us the AYCE menus.Honestly, everything was quite good. There were a few things missing from the menu that are standard fare, like egg rolls and shrimp tempura. However, we tried some maki rolls, some specialty rolls, veggie tempura, karaage...there's nothing I wouldn't recommend.Price seemed a little high at $50 per person, but maybe I'm out of touch. Service was excellent, and there was no delay between ordering rounds of food.
Ordered take out on DoorDash. Value is not good at all. Paid $20 for a very small rainbow roll $20 just for the roll alone, not including delivery)
