We really enjoy this restaurant, but there was a mix-up with the cashier who got two of our orders wrong. We requested a side cup of chili, but it ended up being placed directly on top of the hot dog. It would be helpful to clarify the menu if a cup of soup isn't considered a side option. What Jenny X doesn't like about Michaels At Shoreline:
**Food:** I ordered the Joe’s Scramble and also tried the Denver Omelette. I definitely preferred the Denver Omelette, as the cheese added a wonderful flavor to the dish. I found the Joe’s Scramble a bit too plain for my taste. The bread that accompanies the meals was quite good too!
**Service:** The service is more of a self-service style, with a counter setup.
**Ambiance:** The view of the golf course along the shoreline and the Google campus was nice, though not particularly spectacular.
Overall, the food is decent diner fare—not extraordinary, but definitely satisfying if you're in the area and need a refuel like I did!.
Lovely lunch today at Michael's. 5 stars for the view and atmosphere, 3 stars for the food. The restaurant is situated on Shoreline lake and is mainly centered on outdoor dining. We had fun watching the family of geese waddle by while we ate lunch. There was also a sailing camp in progress and lots of people on the water. There is a rental shop next door where you can rent paddle boards, one person boats and pedal boats. So... I'd like to say the food is great, but it's just okay. My friend had a hot dog that was cold and had to be sent back. I had a sandwich with home made potato chips that were soggy. The woman working behind the counter seemed upset to be helping us? It was very crowded and she seemed to be working the front of house alone. Maybe more help would improve the mood. You should definitely try it out, as the location and view can't be beat! After lunch take a walk past the boat rental towards the path that leads to the Baylands. Absolutely gorgeous!
Five stars for the ambiance. Mini lake and fountain with outside seating. I won't explain the layout as many have here already. The food was terrible. I had chicken strips and french fries. Breading hard. Chicken completely dried out. My friend had the Ruben that looked inedible. Thin charred meat on hard-as-a-brick bread. Staff seems confused and out of sorts. Will never return.
Thought it was a sit down restaurant with servers. Food choice limited and was ok Hot dog special w chips and a drink for $10
Great ambiance. Food I had eggs benedict with a side of bacon (no beer for me). The flavors were all there, bacon perfectly cooked, and this also had Canadian bacon. Everyone had very large portions for their order (even salad seemed like a large size, even for a half order). Ambiance The location is great and you can watch folks golfing in the distance. A good place to go to after hiking/walking around the shoreline trail. This place is popular and the wait is only really long since there's so many people that come here on the weekends when they are doing various activities from canoeing, hiking, biking etc. Def the go-to place post-activity with a nice outdoor seating. The bathrooms are clean as well. Service They gave free coffee for our party since we had a very large group (like 20+ people).
I went with a large group of people. We all loved it.Food: 5/5
