This was our first time at La Fontaine, and we will definitely return. I should mention that it was early, and only a few other customers were there, so it was quite peaceful. The service was outstanding; our food arrived quickly, and the waitress and other staff members were very attentive. We ordered a seed salad, as well as duck and branzino entrees, all of which were served promptly and beautifully presented. The... View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about La Fontaine:
The food was a disappointment especially for the price. I’d skip this and look for either a cheaper place or an actually classy location for Italian. This restaurant tried to be classy but the food and atmosphere didn’t live up. View all feedback.
This restaurant is fantastic. They offer one of the best dining experiences in the area, all while maintaining a low profile. The service from the wait staff, bussers, and other front-of-house personnel is consistently excellent. I never feel ignored or overwhelmed. They've managed to create an elegant atmosphere without being intrusive. The food is exceptional; every time I visit another upscale Italian restaurant in the South Bay, I realize I could be enjoying more for less at La Fontaine. Their gnocchi and ravioli have set a new standard for me, making it hard to enjoy any other place. I've sampled various dishes from their menu, and everything has been delicious. I always feel confident that exploring new options won't come at the expense of my beloved favorites. This place is definitely worth a visit.
Always a fantastic experience! I really enjoy the steak frites. Others rave about everything on the menu. It is a bit pricey, but I highly recommend it.

Absolutely excellent food, service, and experience. One of those rare fine dining experiences that is worth every penny. I had the sea bass (branzino). The fish was soooo succulent. The mashed potatoes rich and creamy. Even the vegetables were cooked with care, every bite fresh and delicious. I also ordered a chocolate martini for good measure. Well done and plenty of volume. Our server was fun and cheery with hilarious napkin folding routines. He made a moving mouse, raw chicken, and hats. We all had fun with his routines. Here are the other orders from my dining party... Calamari: lightly breaded and not over cooked, nicely seasoned, served with two dipping sauces. Braised ribs: fall off the bone tender, wonderfully seasoned, great sauce, the planets was a little bland though. BlackBerry mojito no skimping on the alcohol, enjoyable and refreshing. Lobster ravioli: pasta had a nice texture, flavorful Angel hair pomodoro with chicken: the chicken strips had a good texture and was flavorful. Next time, it'll be a date night....
