This is an excellent place for lunch in Mountain Brook. Today I had the Cuban sandwich with mushroom soup on the side. Everything was delicious. I will certainly go back. View all feedback.
What Jarret Zulauf doesn't like about Brick and Tin:
for the second time, I was overloaded for the trout! they calculated the price for dinner instead of the lunch price. $ 10.00 difference! while eating was very good, I find it unimaginable that this is a trend! View all feedback.
After ordering the Blackened Salmon and grits, I asked if a side of brisket was possible. Yes. Yes, it was and melted in my mouth. Splurged on a Laphroaig neat and felt like a lady lunching. The main was seasoned and prepared to a ridiculous deliciousness. I was treated with patience, professionalism and kindness. Thank goodness I was oblivious of the bakery... next time. Parking: It is Mountain Brook... I had no problem parking a chonky pick up. I'd allow time to park if on a schedule. Service: Dine in Meal type: Lunch Price per person: $30–50 Recommended dishes: Brisket Parking options: Free street parking
This is one of Mountain Brook's best lunch spots. I ate the Cuban sandwich with a side order of mushroom soup. Everything tasted great. I will most definitely return. Service: Dine in Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
Our group of 3 went for lunch on a Sunday afternoon. The service was good. The mac n’ cheese was delicious. I’ve never had mushroom soup so I’m unsure how it’s supposed to taste, but it tasted like sautéed mushrooms were blended up and that was it. I love mushrooms, but this was not my fave. The chocolate bread pudding was AMAZING. We also had the wildest experience of our life here and I just have to include it. A man and woman maybe on their third date were sitting very close next to us. Maximum 3feet away. Our conversation hit a lull as we were eating just in time to hear the man say “15 minutes before going to bed I put my top sheet in the freezer.” The woman had a very mild reaction. We were unsuccessful in hiding our laughter. If this man sees this we apologize. We were not trying to eves drop but heard you say something so unexpected and strange we didn’t know what to do. In your future endeavors, I would avoid discussing your frozen top sheet on a date. Just a recommendation. They changed their bread. It honestly takes it from a solid little lunch to a, “man I really paid for this?” I really tolerated their terrible iced tea for a solid sandwich and now all hope is lost. Save yourself the effort and just go to the Publix deli counter or something. Go look at their instagram to see what it used to be.
