I absolutely loved it! The food was delicious, the staff were incredibly attentive, and everyone was warm and friendly. The prices were great as well!
The food was mediocre, and even though we were all running late, it seemed like the kitchen had already checked out for the day. We had reserved all three cabins, and my wife and I stayed in the dairy. Unfortunately, there was no hot water the entire time, right up until we checked out! It was my birthday, a day I hadn’t celebrated in years, and I was really disappointed.
We were there in Valentines day, and ordered from the set 3 course menu. Entree (Oysters) was very nice, the main dish for me and my wife was the beef ribs with green paw-paw salad. Ribs were large with a lot of tender meat, but the salad was disappointing, no flavor at all. (I expected a Thai style green papaya salad). My daughter had the sea trout and enjoyed that. Desert was excellent. The house wine was good and the service very good. The location is beautiful, certainly a a place to go for a special occasion.
Lunch after a walk to the peak of Mt Warning with friends visiting from Sydney. Spectacular setting, superb fresh food and friendly service. We would not hesitate to return.
Beautiful grounds and a lovely restored Queenslander, must admit I thought Friday night was advertised as a Tapas Nite. But no harm done, the tempura vegetable dish was absolutely yummy, my partners slaw rib was nice but the sauce was on the salty side for my liking. Attentive service and a good wine and beverage selection. Will try lunch next so as to take more of the grounds in
