What Steveoco doesn't like about Orient Kitchen:
We went here for a Sunday lunch on a cold day and had crab and sweet corn soup. It was lovely and warmed us up. As the main we had Chicken and Ginger, Basil and Chilli. It was predominantly basil flavoured and very tasty. We paired this with the normal fried rice which was also very delicious. This restaurant is quite nice and with friendly service and is good value. View all feedback.
We went here once and enjoyed it so much we returned again a couple of days later. If I lived in Canberra this would certainly be my regular go-to restaurant. Friendly, clean, and fantastic food, served promptly. Wide variety on the menu. Every dish we had was delicately flavoursome and absolutely delicious. Can’t wait to go again.
Good food and good family customer service. Thank you and we will see you again and again. Love the special fried rice.

We returned to this restaurant due to its location between the sports complex and home. Food is freshly cooked and yummy, nothing elaborate but delicious and filling. We have tried their mixed roast platter, Shantung chicken, spicy fried rice, boneless chicken with plum sauce and white bait. All pretty good. Good to know that there is worthwhile Chinese food south of Canberra.
We really enjoy the food and great service we experience at this small but busy family run restaurant. The staff are really good, especially Lisa and Mimi and the prices are reasonable given the serving size and the amount of effort involved in each dish. We recommend the spring rolls really, really good, the pan fried dumplings, sizzling lamb with honey and black pepper, mixed vegetables (minus the cornflour braise) crispy chicken with ginger and soy, spicy salty calamari, the bbq meats prepared in house, Gai lan with ginger and the laksa is monster sized. As I say it's small and busy so book if you want to turn up with a crowd, and it's also BYO so it's easier on the pocket. Definitely consistently excellent quality food and service.
