Good ramen. Very savory broth and toppings. I ordered the house special, spicy. Only downside for me specifically is that it was on the salty side. I'll order the regular pork tonoktsu next time. Could have been the Miso. Food: 4 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 4 View all feedback.
What Jesse Lee doesn't like about Ramen Misoya Chicago:
Meh. I’ve eaten here quite a few times more so in the early days of this place opening up. The quality and satisfaction has definitely gone down and the value got much worse because they charge a lot for water and noodles. Ramen is supposed to be a cheap food I can’t justify $17 for noodles, water, bean paste, and a half egg . These days there are much better options than here like Daifuku ramen if you are in the cit... View all feedback.
Great place to get ramen in the area! The restaurant is pretty small, so it’d be best to go with just one other person instead of a big group. There were a few tables that could also fit four people. Karaage 9/10 crunchy, juicy. The sauce reminds me of chick fil a sauce lol. We got the Hokkaido and Tokyo cha shu ramen $19 each). The Hokkaido had a stronger miso taste than the Tokyo. The cha shu is grilled which provided a good texture and flavor. Also, the portions are huge! We could not finish it all and took leftovers home.
This was my 1st time experiencing Ramen. Internal setup in the restaurant is like a typical Japanese ramen place. Loved everything ordered such as Shrimp tempura, oysters and chicken appetizers. Ramen was amazing. There is a vegetarian broth option available in case you don’t want pork broth. Must visit!
Overall, Ramen Misoya is pretty good. They specialize in Miso broths, and give lots of options for customization. Overall the broth is tasty and decent quality, with good pork and toppings. The restaurant interior is a little smoky and service could have been better during busy time. I would return if I was in the area and craved some Ramen.
The BEST and most authentic ramen I’ve ever had outside of Japan. The broth is delicious, the noodles are super fresh, and the char siu is perfection. We also loved the Kara-age (fried chicken).
This is my favorite ramen place in the Chicago suburbs! Good portion sizes and the broth is super flavorful. Noodles are of good texture and plenty of choices for toppings.
