Very esthetically pleasing. Brunch eggs and bacon were good. My only complaint is that everything is fried. Wish they had a healthier brunch option or a gluten free kids menu. Over all good atmosphere and nice staff.
Tavern Table was a great dinner experience. The atmosphere is beautiful, choose between the cool, modern interior or the spacey, scenic patio with views of the creek. The drinks were refreshing! We shared a few delicious appetizers and are eager to go back next time.
Interior looks like Joanna Gaines decorated the place, gorgeous! Tasty cocktails, relaxing atmosphere, tables are spaced apart nicely, and food was delicious. We had the artichoke crab dip brisket mac n cheese. Both were fantastic! Hubby ordered the shrimp grits and loved it. Too much curry for my taste though. This terrific restaurant on Shem Creek is a jewel. Plenty of parking is available, so no worries in that regard. The outdoor deck provides a stunning sunset view across Charleston Bay, but we prefer indoor seating; it’s more comfy and the decor istasteful and beautiful, right out of Garden and Gun. What to order? The peel eat shrimp is outstanding and so are the roastedBrussels sprouts. We very much enjoyed the cheese board with a tasty selection of cheeses and savories. Oh, and they make awicked cheeseburger. We visit and enjoy Tavern Table each wonderful visit to Charleston. Thank you, Megan. You made our visitmemorable.
We wanted to try so many things! Yes, some went home with us ???? watermelon Fresno for drink was a little sour, salty, sweet, and refreshing but add a tiny bit of heat from the slice of jalapeño! The Mac n cheese, dynamite shrimp, crab and artichokedip, and skillet cornbread were excellent! More for Later! Not pictured is the chocolate chip cookie skillet with vanilla icecream! With a waterside view, the patio seating (we had an umbrella for shade) and the breeze made it great. Add in thewonderful server (yes she was friendly, attentive, and had a great drink and dessert recommendation) made this a great firsttime here. Give it a try!
