Reviews summary
This bustling deli brings the New York delicatessen experience to Charleston, offering an extensive menu that includes fantastic breakfast and lunch options. While many customers rave about the exceptional sandwiches and quick service, a few express concerns about food safety and occasional mishaps in order fulfillment. The atmosphere is lively with friendly staff, making it a popular spot among locals. Despite mixed experiences, particularly regarding cleanliness, the eatery's delicious offerings like the Italian omelet and various sandwiches ensure a return visit for most diners.

We stopped here today after a friend recommended it, mentioning they have the BEST NY/NJ style (where we're originally from) breakfast and lunch in Charleston. We both got lunch sandwiches and they were nothing short of incredible!! I highly recommendthis place! So, so good with reasonable pricing. I'll definitely be back to try their breakfast sandwiches too!
This was a pleasant surprise. It's hard to find a decent deli in the south, but the sandwiches here are as good as any good deli. I had the salmon bagel, which was loaded with a generous amount of cream cheese and smoked salmon. The actual bagel wedidn't get toasted, and that was a mistake. It was a bit chewy, but I would definitely order again, toasted. The clam chowderwas sublime. It was a bit reminiscent of she-crab soup, taste-wise, but with thick, large pieces of clam.
Hubs and I just had our first meal here. The experience was great from beginning to end!! First of all, the great odors wafting over you!! As soon as you open the door, it hits you. Dude taking order was very polite. Dudette at cash register was reallynice and patient. Our food was out in no time and served with a smile. You guys have a great product!!
Always exceptional never disappoints! Each thing on the menu I?ve tried has always been satisfying! If they are having an off day, they will remake it and give you something better: my favorite is the cinnamon rolls and the three little pigs breakfastsandwich! Super tasty and enjoyable : closest thing you?ll get to a New York style deli?you won?t regret this!
We visited this restaurant today based on a friend's recommendation, who claimed they serve the BEST NY/NJ style breakfast and lunch in Charleston, which is where we're from. We both ordered lunch sandwiches, and they were absolutely amazing! I highly recommend this spot—everything was delicious and the prices were reasonable. I can’t wait to return and try their breakfast sandwiches as well!

I absolutely adore this deli! As someone from the North who is used to my bodega bagels, these bagels are simply outstanding. The "Shannon's Way" bagel is fantastic, and their sandwiches are impressive as well.
I ordered ahead and picked up my meal to go. During my quick visit, I noticed that both the staff and customers were smiling. After taking my first bite of the breakfast burrito, everything clicked—it was packed with generous portions and a delicious sauce. Before I knew it, I was smiling too!
Literally love mozzo with all my heart. Workers literally know me by name lol. Vegetarian options: Tons of vegetarian options. Tons. Dietary restrictions: Plenty of options for everyone Parking: Ton of spots very large parking lot Kid-friendliness: Very kid friendly
Today I came to eat in and I normally order my stuff over the phone and do pick up. Today I’m like no let’s go eat in. So I’m standing up waiting on my food, and one of the cooks walks off the line and by the register in front of me, BLOWS HIS NOSE EXTRA EXTRA hard in a napkin, puts gloves back on and goes back to cooking. So I’m like woahhhh I don’t want to eat again and I told them why. He then goes to say “but he put gloves back on. They thought it was ok for him to not wash his hands and just throw gloves on. I am so hurt because rather more the less why would you not go to the back to blow your nose away from the food!!!! Laying here like I lost my bestfriend knowing I can’t eat there no more.

We've visited Mozzo for both breakfast and lunch and have always been satisfied. This morning, I ordered a sausage, egg, and cheese, while my wife had turkey, egg, and cheese, and both dishes were fantastic. If you go for lunch, make sure to try the red skin potato salad with your sandwich. And if potato salad isn't to your liking, you won't be let down by any of the pasta salads.
Mozzo has wowed us on three different visits with three incredible sandwiches. The prices are very reasonable, and the service is fast. The pimento penne is outstanding. We keep coming back because the food is consistently delicious. The staff is always friendly and attentive.
I've been on the hunt for an outstanding traditional deli for years, and Mozzo truly exceeded my expectations! I tried the Cuban sandwich, and my wife went for the Reuben—both were fantastic. The place is clearly a favorite, with a line of people waiting and every table taken, including those outside!

This place is exceptional!!! BEST DELI IN CHARLESTON! The staff there is working hard every day! I recently moved here and work nearby and order breakfast at least twice a week. They always make absolutely amazing food, on time, and they are super friendly. I recommend the steak and egg breakfast sandwich on Ciabatta, the special Mayo sauce they put on it is ineffective! If you take lunch, try the Honey Slide! I love you!!!!
Absolutely! You should definitely check this place out. They excel at the basics like no one else. It's always bustling during peak hours, like 11 a.m. on a Saturday, but even on a Tuesday morning at 8 a.m., it's worth stopping by for a bagel and coffee, and picking something up for lunch. I really enjoy getting that New York delicatessen experience right here in Charleston, without the New York prices or having to leave the city.
Always outstanding — I've never been disappointed! Everything I've tried on the menu has been satisfying. If they have a slow day, they will go above and beyond to make it special for you. My favorites are the cinnamon rolls and the Three Little Pigs breakfast sandwich — both are incredibly tasty and enjoyable. If you're in the mood for a New York-style deli, you definitely won't regret giving this place a try!
Fantastic lunch, breakfast, dinner spot in Mt P great sandwiches and the random spot during all these meals
I can only speak to what I tried there, but I've ordered the Italian Omelet several times, and it's the healthiest way to enjoy pizza in the morning. It's absolutely phenomenal. The secret is that they don't whip the eggs, which is a common practice that often leads to boiling rather than proper cooking. This makes for a fantastic omelet, and the staff is exceptional as well.
