Love the restaurant and the staff, they do not disappoint! I had the clam chowder tonight and it was not my favorite.... I'm a purist with clam chowder and this recipe was far different. The salad with french fries was pretty good.... unusual, but good. The menu has many options, I look forward to trying something different next visit!
Recently visited here while on vacation and felt compelled to write about my experience. We went to Husk (skip it), Halls (amazing but so expensive), and community table based on the recommendations of some familiar with the area. The food at CTblew us away. We decided to do a couple appetizers and then split the CT burger. The risotto was to die for. The octopus wasperfectly cooked and just fantastic. The Street Corn tasted like nothing I’ve ever had before (in a great way). The Burgerwas also perfectly cooked medium rare, and burst with flavor. Everything just tasted fresh.
This place is fantastic ! The service was attentive and our server had excellent drink and food recommendations. I got the chicken and it was juicy. Only con was the asparagus was way too thin. I would definitely be back to work my way through otheritems on the menu.
Can't think of one negative thing I experienced while here. Everything was phenomenal. The restaurant is located in this nice little neighborhood off the main road. It gives a nice summer town feel with the area it's in. The decor of the entire place iswarm and very cozy southern in terms of the vibe. Probably the best service I've had while I was in Charleston. For theappetizers we got the spicy mussels which were fantastic. Main course was the pork osso busco which was out of this world.Tender and juicy each bite was like heaven on earth. I got the hangar steak which was a 10/10. This was easily the toprestaurant that we went to in terms of overall food quality, cocktails, and service.
We had a nice meal at Community Table in ION. The beet salad was a good compliment to the fresh pop over bread. I enjoyed the fish of the day a tile pan cooked in a light wine and avocado sauce with heirloom tomatoes. The service was very good and we hadseveral different servers attend to us. Others at our table had scallops and Cobb salads. It was a little loud inside therestaurant but there is plenty of porch and outdoor seating. The mussels were not recommended by my friend.
