Description

MPH Cafe has garnered mixed reactions from visitors, highlighting its potential yet marred by service issues and quality inconsistencies. While some guests were disappointed by long waits and unkempt tables, others praised the dog-friendly atmosphere and delightful desserts, particularly the renowned vanilla slice, though opinions on its creaminess varied. Diners appreciated the homemade offerings, yet many found dishes like the shepherd's pie and arancino lacking. Despite the charming decor reminiscent of the 80s, a refresh and improved management could elevate the experience. Overall, while some enjoyed their visit, others felt it fell short of expectations.

On one of the first spring days it was a pleasure to be at this cafe. Dog friendly with kind dog attentive staff. Good menu beef burger was delicious and so was the cappuccino. The Nutella vanilla slices were delicious and looking forward digging into them. Great place will be back again!

Love this place, great food, coffee and service. Love the vanilla slice best i’ve ever had. Breaky stack is another highlight. Highly recommend 5/5.

The instagram pictures of this place were incredible! Only ordered slices/cakes and coffee, staff were friendly and the donuts were amazing. Famous vanilla slices looked incredible but were very creamy, more so than the custard aspect but still nice.

We saw this cafes amazing instagram and decided to check it out for some coffee and cakes! We came Saturday, unfortunately it is clear this place is poorly managed. There was only one staff member working and due to this we waited at least 15 minutes for one take away coffee. We didn’t say anything because we felt bad for them, it was really busy and there was only one person working on a Saturday morning? This place has a lot of potential but we won’t be returning because of the poor service. The only saving grace was the overpriced small coffee due to a ‘weekend surcharge’, this seems a bit stupid considering you only have one person working?
