Without a doubt, the best pulled pork sandwich I have ever had! The BBQ sauce was incredible, the service was top-notch, and the ambiance was indescribably beautiful. It felt like a hidden gem in the sky. The drive to get there is definitely worth it, but be prepared as it is only 23 miles north of Tucson and about a mile above sea level. What User doesn't like about Sawmill Run:
We went to this restaurant for lunch and it was very busy, but the line moved quickly. We ordered Bob's Burger and a Ham and Apple Grilled Cheese. I found it to be a bit pricey, but the portions were generous. The burger was hot and the meat was easy to find. The sandwich was delicious, with a nice touch of apple flavor that I really enjoyed. Great mountain top restaurant with sweet potato tater tots :
Everything was great, EXCEPT, for the greasy and limp, French Fries. Hoping it was a one time thing and that's not the norm. I like my fries a little crunchy, as does everyone else at the table we were dining with. Even the people at the table next to us were laughing at the limp french fries! Other than than that, we all had delicious and big burgers ??. We will go again ?
This restaurant is fantastic, with excellent customer service and delicious food. I had the Reuben sandwich, which was packed with meat and very flavorful. The wings were also delicious. I highly recommend checking out this place if you're headed up the mountain.
I have been going up to Mount Lemmon for 50 years, but I have never had a good meal at any of the restaurants there. Today, I ordered chicken fingers and fries, but they were awful. The fries were soggy, dark brown, not hot, and overly salty. I had to return them. The chicken fingers weren't much better. You would expect a beautiful place like this to serve well-prepared, decent food, but instead it feels like being stuck at a movie theater and having to settle for whatever they have if you want to eat. I would recommend bringing your own lunch instead.
I had a great experience at this restaurant. The staff was friendly and the food was delicious. The patio is lovely, with a fireplace to keep you warm during the winter months.
