Bistro 101 - Mount Horeb

I can hardly express how incredible my experience was! My dad and I visited last weekend, and I have to say, I enjoyed the best tenderloin I’ve ever had in the Madison area. I’ve dined at Rare, Ruth's, Tornado, Johnny's, and Flemings many times, and it was clear among our group that Bistro 101 surpassed them all. The owner, a genuinely nice guy, even shared some tips with me on how to prepare their amazing mushroom bisque. The service was excellent, and we loved the drinks. I wish I could give a six-star rating for those who unfairly rated Bistro 101 anything less than perfect. I will definitely be returning time and again!

There's a lovely bar inside, along with unique specials and great attention to safe dining practices at this time. They've clearly thought through every detail, maintaining proper spacing between diners, ensuring all staff wear PPE, and providing QR code menus. It's a very nice place — it might not offer the typical $11 meals, but there’s a country kitchen for that. If you're looking for something different, real flavors, and a well-curated selection of spirits, I highly recommend trying 101!

My sister recommended this restaurant, and it certainly lived up to her praise. The service was fast and exceptional. On top of that, the food was absolutely perfect! I can't wait to return and sample everything on the menu.

We were on a long haul from CA and found this place on Google. Wanted a nice sit down upscale dinner and they did not disappoint! Everything from the artichoke dip with toasted Naan bread to the Filet and glass of wine was awesome. Really liked the decor and style of the restaurant. Very much recommend. Our server was very nice and attentive. If we ever come through again we will return!

I had the pan fried walleye and it was good but it wasn?t fulfilling but the place was nice and clean.
