2nd visit. First time, we had already eaten, but read the menu and knew we had to come back to eat. Dry aged burger is AMAZING. Manicotti was also top notch. Amazing drink selections, with a great unique atmosphere The customer service here is the cherry on tip. We will definitely visit again and again. What Roger L doesn't like about The Local Eatery Pub:
I would love to give this place five stars and the pub side certainly deserves it. The food and service on that side was great but unfortunately it’s attached to the lounge/whiskey bar which is not at all managed well. We came in and had dinner in the pub side and was excited to see the whiskey bar next door as part of the same establishment. When we went in, we were immediately met by the bartender informing us he w... View all feedback.
This was my second visit. The first time, we had already eaten, but after looking at the menu, we knew we had to return. The dry-aged burger is incredible, and the manicotti was equally impressive. They also offer an excellent selection of drinks, all in a unique and inviting atmosphere. The customer service really stands out and adds to the experience. We will definitely be coming back again and again. Keep up the fantastic work, Local team!
Both my husband and son ordered the Local burger, medium well, but they were both charred on the outside. The fries looked like scraps, clearly just the remnants from the bottom of the fryer. We would have mentioned these issues to our server, but we didn’t see her for 20 minutes. When she finally came back, she didn’t check on us at all. When she did ask about our meals, I had barely taken a few bites due to the cold temperature. I mentioned that the food was ice cold, and she casually responded that it was supposed to be that way. I’ve never encountered a burrito bowl with cold rice and protein – the beef should have been hot. I reiterated that it wasn’t, to which she simply apologized and asked if we wanted boxes before walking away. In the end, she took $5 off our bill, which felt like an inadequate gesture at best. That was the last we heard from her. We would have addressed the other food issues, but it was clear that the server wasn’t interested in helping, so we decided not to pursue it any further. Lesson learned: don’t revisit The Local. Every restaurant has off days, and occasional issues are to be expected, but a well-trained staff can make a significant difference in the experience.
I really wanted to give this place five stars, especially for the pub side, which truly deserves it. The food and service there were excellent. However, the lounge/whiskey bar attached to it is not managed well at all. After enjoying dinner in the pub, we were excited to check out the whiskey bar next door, since it’s part of the same establishment. Unfortunately, as soon as we walked in, the bartender told us they were full, even though half of the tables were empty, and that we'd have to wait about 30 minutes to get in. After waiting, I peeked inside and saw only three tables occupied. This isn't some exclusive speakeasy with a members-only policy. Sadly, this experience ruined our visit.
The drinks and service were phenomenal. We had ordered two local burgers and pickled chips. The pickled chips were delicious. Both burgers tasted extremely burnt. But everything else on the burger was fine.
Apps were solid, drinks were OK. The steak was severely overcooked, ordered medium rare and got very well done. Everyone else ordered sandwiches and they looked fantastic. The service was great though!
