The Robin's Nest is great! It has an old-fashioned Victorian charm and decor. You are greeted by a glass case of homemade desserts as you walk in. I had the catfish with risotto and it was quite delicious. I had peach bread pudding for dessert, and it was excellent. My date and I enjoyed our drinks as well. The ambiance was fine and the restaurant is relatively quiet. There is parking across the street. View all feedback.
What Christina Müller doesn't like about Robin's Nest Restaurant:
Our meal was very good and the service was excellent. The prices were a little high but we didn't mind it for a good meal. However, we ordered take out dessert and that was a different story. The prices weren't listed but I should have asked. We ordered the flourless cake which was small but decadent. We also ordered something resembling a blueberry cobbler. The cost for these 2 desserts was $20! The blueberry was ju... View all feedback.
I really liked this place, the mood was put back and the staff extremely personal and friendly with fast service. We went on a busy Saturday afternoon and sat outside near the brook. All at the party were happy with their meals, including an 8 years old, who had a large portion of chicken fingers and French fries. I had the goat cheese salad, which was very good and too big to eat everything. Others with me had the tuna melt and the asparagus sandwich without complaints. The truffleries are amazing! We had no room for dessert, but everything in this case looked delicious!
Amazing staff and food every time! My daughter wanted to try Dessert and we forgot our take-off box. Came back 10 minutes after leaving to find out it was thrown out. However, the employees replaced our entire dessert. Don't skip these desserts. You're amazing.
I went to lunch with staff last week and it was so good! I had a burger with truffles that are the best fries on the planet and the lemon bar for dessert. All right!
Tonight was our first visit to the Robin's Nest. We are new in town and enjoy getting to know the area while we eat in the different shops and places. Tonight we ordered the wings, French onion soup, mango soup, shrimp tacos, Brisket tacos, lemon bar and espresso roll. At first we were told by someone that parts were small FALSE! As you can see on the photos, there was a lot to eat, the prices were extremely fair. Luckily we hadn't eaten much all day and turned into a lot of hunger. The soups were delicious and the wings were certainly something that I go after work on a regular basis. They were perfectly crispy and the sauce was perfect. The Tacos... well, they were sleeping well. Desert was good that we preferred the espresso roll over the lemon bar. The role was made sooooo perfect in a magical way. Overall the service was excellent, food came fast and was much hot fresh, and the prices were exceptional. We will return to this place without question and it will be 100% where we take all our friends and family when they come to visit us in Mt Holly.
Very nice authentic place. It's 33 years old restaurant (as of 2021). The food is very delicious. I'm vegeterian and they have very good vegeterian selection. Portions are big. Personal and service is excellent. Choise of desserts is huge. They have seats inside and outside (next to the river). For sure I will go back to visit them again.
