Huge sunflowers with their old time Jigger Sundaes. Many ice cream to choose from simple Tin Roof Sundaes to flaming Smores. Sundae's average is about $10,000, but they're delicious. Beautiful atmosphere, hidden in the woods surrounded by charming huts. Great place to visit. View all feedback.
Awesome Amazing Experience for an unexpected day trip Food stop.Great varieties, and reasonable prices too, and the service was excellent might I say so if you're in the area make the Jigger Shop a stop before you head out on your way. They took special care in meeting our needs and it made us feel special indeed.
Great local gem. They have food and desserts. The food is passable, but you come here for the sweet treats! The ice cream bar and special dessert menu is out of control. We came here with some friends with several adults and kids of varying ages and everyone got something they enjoyed. The kids were thrilled, the adults indulged themselves and all had a good time!I ordered the banana split and it was the most legit banana split I think I've ever eaten. The staff is friendly and helpful, the location is peaceful and scenic and the ice cream will leave you wanting more.. or maybe just a wheelbarrow to roll you back to your car.
We went there on a Saturday and brought our dog and two young kids. I really like how they have indoor, patio, and tables that are totally outside. It's so pet friendly which is a plus. I appreciate that they have separate lines for food and ice-cream since the ice cream is by far the most popular thing there. For food I typically get a burger and fries and for ice cream I normally get a hot fudge sundae. I do wish they had a better system for the ice cream line because it tends to get long and move slow. I feel like it's because they make everything to order and they don't take the next person until the current one had their icecream. Not totally sure if that's what makes it move slower, but definitely can't be mad that an ice cream place is so popular! I also love that they have old fashion ice cream options to like sawdust sundaes and whatnot. I would recommend a light dinner so you save room for ice cream!
Ice cream, milkshakes, and floats are the only reason you should go here. The atmosphere and the restaurant are nostalgic and a great setting in Mt Gretna. However If you go for the food you are in for a BAD expensive surprise. The sweet potato fries were awesome but everything else is literally out of a frozen bag and heated in the microwave INCLUDING the burger. How do you mess up a burger? For all you people raving about the food, have you never been exposed to real food in a city with good prices? The crabcake sandwich was all stuffing with ole bay seasoning on a bun. Huh? The lemonade on the other hand was pressed right on the spot and delicious. The flounder sandwich? You guessed it, frozen bag to microwave. And we are talking $12+ per sandwich and a $50 lunch bill before even getting dessert in a separate line. This food sucked. This restaurant could have such a great lunch menu and value if you would do it right but you choose to pull a fast one on families with kids who usually eat whatever. I won't eat here again. Prices were insane. Stick to the ice cream line. The vanilla milkshake and the bananas foster were awesome!
First time stopping there to get some ice cream and it was a cute little place. We tried at noon but it was packed with no parking. Went back later in the evening and it wasn't as packed. I got a banana split and some fries later on. Prices are a bit high but it's a good place to stop at and try once or if you visit mount Gretna.
