This is a wonderful restaurant with delicious food and excellent service! We’ve tried the chicken fried steak, pork chops, and cheeseburger, and they were all great, along with the sides. We dined in for lunch, and the price per person was between $10 and $20. Highly recommended! View all feedback.
What Dell Villa doesn't like about Hwy 31 Cafe:
The same woman who served us at the table also cooked our food, and I found the cleanliness quite concerning. She didn't have her hair covered, and she was not wearing gloves. Overall, I would rate the food a 2, the service a 3, and the atmosphere a 1. View all feedback.
Conveniently located right on TX-31 just west of Hubbard, tx. It shares the building with a convenience store and Valero gas station. From the outside, that’s just what it looks like; however, when you step inside it’s nicely decorated, clean, and attractive. Both service and food are excellent. Service: Take out Meal type: Lunch Price per person: $10–20
Awesome waitress and food! The pork sandwich was quite good, but the fried shrimp was perfection, and the catfish equally good. The house-made sauces, especially the spicier one, were as good as anything I ever had in N’Awlins. The waitress suggested the baked potato salad and it was lick the bowl good. The slaw was the only downside to the meal, but only because in comparison to the rest which was phenomenal. Try the local beer on tap—absolutely delicious. Prices were reasonable, especially for the sheer volume and taste of the food. Fun signs throughout!
