Was Anonym at JBento a mag?
It's good when you go to a Japanese restaurant and you're the only non-Asians (not being racist). It means the food is authentic. Next time we won't have deserts as they aren't worth the price. The food in general was very nice and we can't wait to come back to try the rest of the menu. View all feedback.

What Anonym dislikes about JBento:
Such a shame about the customer service as the food wasn’t terrible. Also recommend wiping down the tables, there was no one in the shop so not like it was busy View all feedback.

This is a tiny Japanese takeaway restaurant in Queens Road, Mt Pleasant with a small number of tables for sit down meals. We have been here a number of times now for a cheap and cheerful Japanese meal. We were there most recently and enjoyed a couple of Bento boxes. I had Miso Butter Scotch Fillet Bento, while Aggie had Teriyaki Salmon Bento. Both were delicious as the food is always at tis restaurant. They have a little record player in the corner playing vinyl older classics and this adds to the atmosphere. I would recommend this restaurant if you are not into all the fancy service of more expensive restaurants but would just like to sit down for a cheap but great meal. It is also BYO drinks so you can bring your own beer and favourite wine to accompany the meal.

Dropped in for a quick lunch and so glad I did! Cement floor and not very comfortable triangular stools don't detract from delicious food and friendly service! Two generous and perfectly cooked pieces of teriyaki salmon and seaweed salad were delicious and I was very tempted by the crab that the little Japanese girl at a nearby table was devouring with evident glee. Not the place for a leisurely romantic dinner perhaps but very definitely a place for good and authentic Japanese bento food.

This was my second visit to this restaurant, but my first time having dinner here. The food was beautifully presented, as you can see in the picture. The standout dish for us was the cold soba, which we hadn't been able to find anywhere else in Perth. We would definitely come back again. Make sure to make a reservation if you plan on dining in.

Came here to eat the Japanese breakfast and had a good experience overall. We loved the chicken katsu sandwich it was a real standout. The salted salmon set was nice as well, but slightly over cooked.
