Rose Family Farm - Chip Wagon

Friendly service. Outdoor seating on peaceful, beautiful farm. Delicious fries. My husband and I have been going for years, usually just the two of us. But sometimes we go with friends and family. They also sell fresh produce and baking. Enjoy!

I stop here every weekend to get the best poutine and pick up a new flavour of Pavlova that will knock your socks off. Anya's new Tropical Pavlova is so good that iI have gone through 4 of them. They have superb pies, butter tarts, jams, home made frozen foods, cheeses, honey. A beautiful drive, friendly people.... Say Hi to Norma and Zack.

If you enjoy french fries in their most natural form you will love these. First of all the drive to the Rose Farm from whatever direction you are travelling from, is a nice drive. Once at the farm there are many other options to keep you occupied. A huge enclosure for kids to have fun, plus in season all the produce they grow. There is frozen meats and amazing baked goods. But the main attraction for us, is always the french fries. Potatoes grown on the premises, cooked to perfection in nice clean canola oil and that's it. There is a poutine option but in this case, these fries need nothing else (ketchup and vinegar and the normal things are there too). They are picture perfect since nothing else goes into the oil accept the potatoes. That makes all the difference in the world when it comes to cooking potatoes. No other flavors are being cooked into them by other fried items as in most other places. You just taste great potatoes cooked to perfection. But after you have your french fries, you might want to take home one of the delicious home made Pavlova's from the bake shop. Very decadent. Those have a habit of selling out.

Drive from Beaverton at least twice every summer.....best fries we have ever had. Our family even stop en route to our home from Burlington. Clean, plenty of parking, washrooms on site. Don't miss it! .
