Ta' Marija Your Gastro Maltese Kitchen Since 1964

After reading some blogs that recommended this restaurant highly, we decided to go as a party of 6 people. Unfortunately, both the food and service were all lacking. When we arrived we were left standing at the door awkwardly with the host not making a move to greet us. We caught the eye of the bartender who then got the host to seat us. 2/6 of us arrived first and we had a reservation. Little dining nuances like having the table set for the correct number of guests, and providing enough menus as well as a drink menus were missed. The food was not fresh tasting (calamari) and two of our party ordered a rare steaks and both came well-done. They did however provide delicious bread and homemade garlic butter. The service was awsome. Really nice staff. But unfortunately the food was not so great. Seafood platter too fried, seafood soup not great and fried pasta pie seasoned weirdly... the fille was good though. Also home made ravioly was nice.
