I admit that we go so often in this pub and have always enjoyed eating and the atmosphere, the constant improvements that Andrea has made in running the years to the place are fantastic. but we went to lunch on Saturday, and it was just a big simple, hearty land price that was as good a pub feed as they would get. we sat outside under the beer garden roof and enjoyed more casual on tape, sailors grave beer and a house wine that were all reasonable prices. lunch was a classic chicken parma $27) made exactly right, crispy chips and fresh salad. the other meal was wonderful lambry $31), on beautiful garlic maque and all veges perfectly boiled and spided hot. the red wine was delicious. the extra delicate and flavousome flesh pulled away with a fork, but was beautiful and glazed on the outside. service relaxed, friendly and prompt. we love this pub, it is owner, eating and the whole vibe .really beautifully renovated, without accusations or untwine formalities. if you want a chic, trendy, urban square, they go to the city! this is a great little land pub that delivers exactly what they want when they are after a good old fashion to the earth experience. we will be back again and again. keep them the great work strechy and crew.

To stay close, so went to a meal. warm day got a beer, not all that cool. I went out and looked over the water. I wanted to drink another drink. put my glass on the bar and ordered another, barely. my used, warm glass and refilled. if that's her service standard, I don't want to eat her.

We had read favorable reviews and decided to have lunch at the hotel. Service was prompt and friendly but the food was a big disappointment. A calamari salad consisted of commercial frozen calamari rings that had been over cooked and a basic salad with what...appeared to be a commercial salad dressing for $27. You can get a much better and cheaper calamari salad at the New Leaf Cafe at Dahlsens in Bairnsdake.
