Tugus Restaurant, a hidden gem located just off I-10, offers a welcoming, down-home dining experience that emphasizes southern hospitality and homemade comfort food. Their seafood buffet, priced at $21.99, features a variety of dishes, from boiled shrimp to seafood casserole, though visitors have noted that seasoning can be inconsistent. While many rave about the fried chicken and desserts, such as the lemon cake, some diners experienced overpowering spices. With a charming, family-owned atmosphere and a nostalgic menu, Tugus is a cozy stop for travelers seeking authentic southern fare, though guests may wish to order from the menu for a more tailored experience.

The fish I had tonight was the best I've had in a long time, better than anywhere else.

Excellent food and friendly service. We had the fried chicken and it was very good, along with everything else. Save room for dessert because the lemon cake was outstanding!

Very friendly staff that greeted us at the door as we introduced each other and a friendly fist bump. The food at the buffet was good. You gotta try the fried pork chops!
