Goemon - Feedback

Was Henriette Herzog at Goemon a mag?
Miss their old location. New place has shocking atmosphere, will never be as quaint or have as good a vibe as the last one did (near Bradley's Head Rd). Food still outstanding as ever, but Goe Mon has lost its original charm which made it such a destination for many. That was a few years ago now, but a shame nevertheless. View all feedback.

Went to Goemon with the family for dinner. We all ordered the banquet and all agreed this was fantastic value, compared with ordering individual dishes. Started with miso soup and edamame and steamed gyoza. All very good! Then the serious tastes begin: bring on the salmon and spicy leek wrap, followed by my favourite - the tuna and kingfish carpaccio. Unbelievably fresh and delicious. Bring on the prawn tempura and mixed vegetables, the Kobe steak, Teriyaki chicken with rice. There was certainly enough food and even my husband commented he was full! This hardly ever happens. Well done Goemon! Really enjoyed it all and of course we will be back! Arigato Gozaimasu!
Such great value for money and great service. I always get the lunch packages, about 5-6 items for just $30. eating is also super fresh. many choices in the menu. nice comfortable interieur.
I'm on the hill. I've been at goe mon for many years. I recently went to lunch after I wasn't for one, and was unfortunately very disappointed. the service was little lust and we had to wait to take place and order far longer than we should consider that the restaurant was less than half full. we ordered our favourite dishes from earlier visits (tempura gyoza, thunfish and kingfish carpaccio, salmon and spicy Leek wrap) and were sad to find that the quality of the dishes since our last visit had gone down the hill significantly. the most disappointing was the salmon and spicy lice, our former favorit of the rice was rocky and it was simply not pleasant. Good eating and cook very professional, but service by the waitress was unfortunately bad, difficult to get attention all night, and not very polite.

Goemon restaurant offers fantastic value with their banquet option, serving fresh and delicious Japanese dishes like salmon and spicy leek wrap, tuna and kingfish carpaccio, prawn tempura, Kobe steak, and more. The service is friendly and the food is consistently good. The restaurant has a welcoming atmosphere despite a change in location. Regulars enjoy the sashimi, Wagyu hot pot, Goemon Spicy Leek roll, and Goemon Roll. Overall, Goemon is highly recommended for a great Japanese dining experience in Sydney.

Love it!. Sashimi is super fresh! Wagyu hot pot is also delicious. The staff are so friendly and remember us each time we visit. We have tried so many Japanese restaurants in Sydney but always go back to Goemon.
Can I move in, please?. Every time I visit Sydney I make an effort to visit this restaurant to eat in or takeaway at least. The food is amazing. <br/ <br/ Agedashi tofu absolutely to die for and everything else I've sampled has been incredibly good also. My only complaint is that the menu is so good, I end up ordering too much food! But hey, eating leftovers the next day isn't the worst thing in the world. <br/ <br/ Service was a little distracted but they are very busy and you don't have a big wait for food. They are also excellent at timing the next item as you finish the previous one.<br/ <br/ When I move to Sydney, I might just move into their kitchen. But seriously I have to live near this place!
