The cheesesteak I had was good, with a decent amount of meat. However, I was hoping for more cheese—after all, it is a cheesesteak! I would also appreciate it if they stopped serving cheesesteaks in baskets and could cut them for easier eating. Perhaps my expectations were a bit too high, but overall, it was a positive experience.

Th... read more Today was my second visit to Sofie’s Steaks, and I couldn't be more pleased. I ordered a cheesesteak and Sofie’s chicken bites, and everything was delicious. The chicken bites paired with Sofie’s sauce are absolutely incredible! The cheesesteak was also fantastic. What really stood out, however, was the customer service; the staff is so friendly and welcoming. This experience was just like my first visit, where they greeted me with kindness—a quality that's hard to come by these days. I felt compelled to write this review because they truly deserve recognition. You won’t be disappointed by a trip to Sofie’s!

The house-... read more Sofies Steaks in Morton is seriously impressive. The fresh, delicious rolls are outstanding. The meat is perfectly chopped, well-seasoned, and juicy. The house-made American cheese is velvety smooth. At $12 for a large, this sandwich is a great deal for the amount of steak and cheese you receive. It's definitely worth a visit, and it's quickly becoming one of my new local favorites.

He recommended the Sofie?s Steak with American wiz, to which I agreed. Overall Cheesesteak Rating: 8/10 Fundamentals of a Cheesesteak: Bun (1/2 points): It all starts with the solid base, the bread was light and fluffy, but for me it lost a point because the outer crust was a little tough and chewy, but not enough to ruin it. Some may even enjoy this, it just wasn?t for me. Steak (4/4 points): Not sure what exactly they use, I think their menu says, I?m just too lazy to look, but you can tell it is fresh. Shaved thin and cooked nicely, well done here! Cheese (3/3 points): I?m still not sure what exactly American wiz is, but I enjoyed it! No complaints. Extras (0/1 point): The cheesesteak comes with Sofie?s sauce on it, and although the sauce was decent, it just wasn?t my flavor. It adds a bit of sweetness that I was not expecting and in this instance didn?t like. As with the bun, it may be for you, in which case I hope you try and enjoy this place! I would recommend getting the sauce on the side until you find out for yourself. Additionally, it came with diced onions, which is a plus in my book, but as this is an all or nothing category of one point towards the grand total, I?m sorry, but you lost me on the sauce. We also ordered fries, which was a very generous amount of fresh, crispy, hot fries! Overall, they were friendly, food was quickly delivered, and it taste great. Will be back if we return to the area and I hope you give it a try as well!

Now, I re... read more Sofie's serves an absolutely AMAZING jerk salmon cheesesteak! Wow! It was my first time trying a salmon cheesesteak, and I wasn't sure what to expect. Now, I really wish I had tried one sooner. Their jerk salmon cheesesteak has just the right amount of spice—spicy, but not overwhelmingly so. They had run out of provolone when I placed my order, but I opted for mushrooms, onions, and peppers instead. I can honestly say it was one of the best cheesesteaks I've ever had! What a pleasant surprise to discover something this good in Morton! We were in the area for a comic book convention at a nearby hotel and decided to order through Grub Hub. We expected average food, but we were blown away by how delicious everything was. We live in New Jersey, but we will definitely make the trip back. Sofie's is absolutely worth it!
