Mill Town Smokehouse - Morton

The appearance and pricing makes you think your in for a feast but what you end up getting is some bulk bought sides, cold rolls and some bland meats. The idea of the place is awesome but they could really use some authenticity with their menu if there going to call themselves a smokehouse.

The fresh start for this business is a plus plus, bowling, small bar, BBQ, corn hole, beautiful outside seating, super friendly staff.

Went to mill town smoke house last night for the first time as I had heard good things. The building and environment is beautiful, very aesthetically pleasing but unfortunately that’s about it. First they lost my bowling reservation, so we had to stuff 9 people on one lane. Turns out they lost my reservation and then found it 45 minutes later. We ordered food for everyone and proceeded to wait an hour and a half for our food… long after our bowling reservation was done. We were told multiple times that they can only cook two burgers at a time and that is why it took so long. When I inquired later if this was normal that they can only cook two burgers at a time they said yes, and no future plan to remedy it. I explained that they are serving large groups of people and it’s a shame that their kitchen was designed for small groups? They said their specialty is smoked meats and when I ordered other things off the menu it slowed down the entire kitchen. Perhaps they shouldn’t offer these things?! And the smoked meats were three items; ribs, brisket, and chicken. The majority of their menu was the other items?! At the end of the night my bill was $300 and that was with no alcohol… just food and bowling. It definitely wasn’t high end service… I won’t be going back.
