if they order an salat with burrata, they expect burrata. If you don't eat meat and choose something without meat, you expect it to be without, right? and I have to say about my order. the burrata warns burrata, eating tasteless. it must be difficult to prepare an salate accordingly. Local products, recipes of department, eating is delicious, especially the menu du chaudron . affordable prices, and you really come full.
Visited le chaudron for the 21st birthday of my sohnes, excellent selection of eating and wein, and the service was very good.
Visited Le chaudron for my son's 21st birthday, excellent choice of food and wine, and the service was very good.
Found Le Chaudron facing down a little side street to the main thoroughfare. The welcome was friendly, and the dining area is open with typical French country eclectic decor. A good sign was that on a Monday lunch the restaurant was full, with quite a few farm workers and office people, so it was going to be good value. I tried their own Saut-du-Doubs cocktail (Champagne and cherry liqueur) which was delightful. They failed to bring my wife's Kir, but no problems as our beers arrived straight away, as did our starters. I had the Menu Chasseur, Wild Boar terrine followed by Venison stew and then a choice from the desert trolley (Tart Tropizienne). All were nicely presented and tasty, and good value at €19.80. My wife had Chèvre Chaud salad followed by fried Zander, again generous and tasty. The total bill was €54.70, which we felt was good value.
