Came last night, wasn't in a time. New room is very airy and welcoming. The food has always been good, but now a notch has increased significantly. In a city that unfortunately has a restaurant scene, which is only OK in many cases, this is noticeable. Even with a great deal was the service tops, obviously not a given in these days. Try the mussel appetizer, excellent. View all feedback.

Two annoying things would have been nice to know: 1. they only take cash, check or Venmo. No card reader. 2. No alcohol license, the place is strictly BYOB/W. I must say the food was fabulous. I have the ravioli that was strange because I'm not a big fan of ravioli normally... But the server was right, it was from this world. Grilled octopus was great. Atmosphere and general feeling of the place was beneficial for no alcohol and no card reader, so it worked any kind of nice. Very recommended, and the next time I go back with my favorite wine and work further down in the menu!
I celebrated my 70. Birthday last night with family members who are dear friends. Food and service were excellent. The owner welcomes every table of guests and chats for a few seconds, and my companions mentioned that it was my birthday. When we went after the meal, the owner stopped me to wish me a happy birthday and a pleasant evening. I can't wait to eat again if I'm next time in Morristown1
I ate here as part of a party of five. The service was phenomenal who operated FOH? Whoever runs FOH is amazing because this place ran like a well-oiled machine. All waiters were incredibly friendly and attentive. Our table, together with each other it seemed, was touched by the owner. They no longer see restaurant owners touching the table, it shows a level of care for their guests that is not usual. The food was amazing. I personally had the Veal Avellino (picture) and it was a nice, reasonably light dinner to eat outside on a cool summer night. My partner had the Cavatelli dish special and I had a bit that the pasta was al dente and great quality. Fried calamari for an appetizer well cooked, not gumy, perfectly seasoned. Dessert we tried a number of options chocolate mouse cake, cheesecake, tiramisu, all reasonable price and delicious. We're just here to visit family, but I want to come back here when we're here in NJ.
Can’t say enough good things about this place. It is my absolute favorite Italian restaurant. The menu has so many great choices, it’s hard to decide what to order. Everything is consistently good. The specials are always excellent as well. The fried calamari is the best around. The meatballs, sausage, homemade cheese ravioli and marinara sauce are better than your Neapolitan grandma makes. The staff is super accommodating and friendly. And if you’re lucky enough to have owner Jack Guerriero serenade you tableside, it will make your evening here complete. BYOB.
