On Friday May 12, 2023, we held dinner party for 32 people, in their private event room. The food and service was very good. We were very pleased with all aspects of our dinner party especially on a Friday night when it’s so busy in the restaurant with regular guests. What Alexander von Daake doesn't like about Bistro 46:
Strange place. Interior is non-descript and the opposite of cozy, food was ok, but not anything I would come back for. I picked the restaurant because of the rating and terrific reviews but I guess tastes are quite different. I had a pasta dish that was drenched in a pink sauce- certainly unexpected for short rib ragu sauce. My friend had the salmon which he liked, but the mashed potatoes made it look like a college... Dined indoors at bistro 46 last night. outdoor “Bubbles” were all occupied. eat here disappointed never. service is excellent;

Loved how we got bruschetta and some small cookies at the end other than just bread with butter. However otherwise I feel like the food is just overpriced. I had ordered the chicken milanese and anyone can throw a chicken cutlet on arugula with mozz. Potatoes were a little dry IMO. But $30 for that? Totally not worth it. I'm no food critic but I prefer softer bread when having bruschetta. The calamari honestly made me question whether it was real or not. Maybe I'm just used to crispier breaded differently calamari. I may have too much Mediterranean ethnicity in my family that I just wasn't impressed.
