We had breakfast at this restaurant and enjoyed the good food and excellent coffee. Although the place was quite crowded and cramped, we didn't mind. The service was also very good. Street parking is available and prices are reasonable.
We made a pit stop at Morpeth on our way back from Barrington and found a great spot for lunch. We sat outside in the courtyard and enjoyed the peaceful atmosphere. I highly recommend trying the steak sandwich and the cheese and dill pizza - they were delicious. Yummo!
Renamed Common Grounds. I came with my partner for breakfast and had the grilled cornbread. The cornbread sadly was extremely dry and crumbled whenever I tried to put my fork in it. It also needed more goats cheese. But other than that it's a great location with good service and the best coffee I have ever had in my life.
This cafe, now called Common Grounds, deserves its good reviews. It has friendly staff, a great location and an imaginative menu. There are very good gluten-free choices on the lunch menu and my choice of corn bread/asparagus and tomato was delicious. Coffee was hot and service was efficient. If you sit on the covered back deck, there is a lovely rural view, including the river, but in cooler weather bring a jacket. I look forward to my next visit.
