The informal decor in orange, black, brown and tan is lean and a backdrop for a lot of modern art work that isn't particularly to our liking but signals the individuality and boldness of what is to come on your table. A skylight is a welcome daylight spotlight.Most importantly, every dish-from entree to main course to dessert is beautifully crafted with sometimes subtle and occasionally bold flavors. I will especially remember the pigeonneau, a main course of which I am particularly fond. Often, the dish has to be bolstered by a starch and plenty of vegetables as the bird or birds were anorexic. This time, there was plenty of meat and a lovely rich sauce.Some reviewers have quibbled over the wine prices or the overall expense of the menu or a la carte items. I think they are quite fair for the high skill level of the chef and the price of premium ingredients. A small quality restaurant deserves to make a modest profit.We would characterize this as a destination restaurant-one we would be happy to revisit frequently. While we were only passing through town at lunch time, the attractiveness of the city and the artistry of this restaurant will bring us back.
