Wonderful restored flour factory next to the Waterfront. Service was efficient, kind, and easy to talk to. The owner is very involved and checks on his guest. Don't forget the amazing homemade gourmet comfort food. The fries are fresh cut, double fried, and just the right amount of salt. Homemade cheese sauce topped them off. Wings were fried perfectly, ordered the sauce on the side. Please try the plumb BBQ, that has a twist of Asian, you will lick your fingers. Our most favorite was the homemade pierogis. Such flavor. Sweet buttery onions, perfectly seasoned, and the most amazing sausage I have ever had with a spicy kick. Yum!

The very expected restaurant morgantown flour feed co. has opened in the district wharf and adopts the names of the historic building. for some background, this place did not seem to be prosperous during my time in morgantown: first synergy chophouse and saloon, then mon river chophouse, then careyes grill then Lebanese bistro, before its current incarnation. the name that relied on the roots of the building gave me hope. I think it's trendy. but one day when I went through the building before the opening, I saw a man standing over the country and making a break from his work. I asked if he was a owner, and he said yes. I said I was excited for opening up and asking what kind of food they would have, he reacted indistinguishably with bar food that was disappointed. yet, as soon as I got the chance, a few employees and I gathered to try it. the building is and was always very beautiful. Although the parking space is not easy (there is a dosed partie a little too foot away), the space is beautiful. black industrial deck, exposed stone walls, dark wood floors and a huge, beautiful copper installation with glassware. Outside there is a great area overlooking the rail trail. it was too rainy today, but I would like to come back and review it. the menu is somewhat eclectic, from poutine and pierogies to wings and heavy fish. it's all you have handmade, so it's exciting. we have set up two appetizers so we can rehearse: the poutine and the pierogies. poutine seems to slip on menus in morgantown lately, but my first experiences with poutine came in montreal and it won't be much better than that. the poutine was not as much poutine as it was like a spicy engraving overtop friars that quickly soggy and a few hunks of very chewing pieces pork fat. I think there was a Squeezy cheese somewhere. everything in everything, not great. they were described as hand-cut pommes, bourbon gravy, aged cheddar and crispy ardons that sound amazing. but the real taste, not so much. the fries that were not covered in the gravur were good crisp and fresh, but others were not crisp enough to stand up to the gravure that was heavy and cheese curds were not present. that said the conversion of the heavy and the addition of cheese curds would make a world of difference.
