Your favorite hometown coffee grind and breakfast spot ???? stopped here a few times really enjoyed the vibe ownership seems fully involved ????
I came in today to have brunch. My friends both got a ham and cheese bagel which was great. The server never brought my quiche to the table. I had to go ask about it?they forgot. A server came and asked if I wanted jelly for my toast which was neverprovided. The hot chocolate and toast were cold. I doubt I will go back again.
Visited Grind Cafe for a quick bite and coffee, I?m always venture out of my comfort zone and decided to try the Tinga Tacos. I need to mention that Tacos are in my DNA, the flavor was Ok but the biggest mistake was to serve the tortilla cold and theingredients hot, a big no-no for tacos. The Turkey sandwich was better, service needs improvement as well, prices are high forthe food and service provided.
Food is good, staff is friendly, and facilities are nice however the owner/manager (apparently) decided to visit and basically shut down production at lunchtime on a Saturday while he pontificated. Cook and waitress were completely distracted having tolisten to him. Waited 45 minutes to get a meal? and only after they finished his to go order. Before he leaves, he puts up astep ladder to turn the ceiling fans on high. It then rained dust bunnies for 10 minutes. It?s probably a fine place if theycan refrain from unstructured staff meetings while customers are waiting? and maybe dust the overhead ceiling fans regularly.
First time going. Was greeted more like an inconvenience than niceness. Maybe they she was getting stressed out of how busy they are back to back. There was an old man there seemed to be familiar with the staff taking up room not eating(when I saw him) butscopping out who he could talk to next. Not in a creeper way but more like he wanted someone to care about what he had to talkabout.Luckily he left me alone. The seating inside isn't a lot which is expected in an older building. There's seating outsideas long as it's not obviously raining. I got the French toast. It was good. Whomever brought it out to me seemed nice andsmiled. The one who took my order wasn't so friendly. Wanted to try local. Won't be back, but I suggest you at least give it atry and see for yourself if you've ever wanted to. I just didn't like the initial start of it all. For being in North Carolinathere wasn't a warm welcoming from the start considering the food isn't on the cheap side. At least she didn't fake it so I giveher a star for being honest.
