I had a very disappointing experience with the service, especially for those of us in the DoorDash community. After I announced my arrival for an order, I waited 25 minutes—only to be informed that my food hadn’t even been started yet. During that time, the staff seemed more interested in socializing at the bar than attending to customers. Overall, it was a frustrating experience with incredibly poor service.
I used to love coming here but much like other places Covid has taken a toll When we got our food my wife’s food wasn’t correct and they had to take it back and fix it then both of our pancakes were cold not to mention the unclean plates unfortunately I don’t think I will be back I included a picture where my wife had the choconanna pancakes and you can clearly see something red smeared on the plate
I grew up going to this place and I loved eating there but it's definitely changed. The food quality has definitely declined over the years and just isn't held to the standards it used to be. The only thing that hasn't changed is the phenomenal customer service, especially the host/hostesses and the servers. They have always been an absolute delight either for idle chat or their outstanding attentiveness to the needs of their customers. None that I've met have ever been unkind, uncaring or unapproachable. This restaurant from my childhood may have changed but the staff will always be exceptional.
Stephanie our waitress was very good and so sweet. Service was good and fast considering there was no help but the cook/manager, 1 waitress, and a dish washer. Good food too.
It was like coming home to family and friends. Our waitress Amber was very personable and made us feel like we had been coming there for years. We will go back again and again to see her and to try out the many different choices on the menu. It has been years since we had a local Denny's to frequent so, on our recent move to Valdese, we were pleasantly surprised to find one nearby. The prices have gone up, but they have a 20% off for 55+ on Wednesdays so we were able to give her a larger tip, which she deserved.
