Jose's Mexican Food - Moreno Valley

The food at Jose is outstanding, and we have dined there frequently. Last night, however, we had a bit of a mishap with our order and had to place a new one for pickup. The staff at Jose were incredibly nice and took great care of us. Thank you for the fantastic customer service!!!

After a long day at work, I didn't feel like cooking, so I decided to grab a bite to eat. I tried Jose for the first time but was disappointed with the experience. I didn't like having to stand in line to pay for my food before finding a place to sit. I also found it frustrating that I had to serve myself chips and drinks. Is this really a restaurant? Maybe this concept works for some, but after a demanding 12-hour shift, I just wanted to sit down and relax in a proper restaurant. In my opinion, this establishment doesn't meet those expectations.

The food was amazing, the workers were also amazing and the place is beautiful. This is the beautiful relaxing place to eat. I'm legally blind and everyone was very friendly. And there is also an outdoor area, 5 stars from me!!! Probably my first 5 stars gave me a place because I'm very critical. I love it. I will definitely come back to try more items that I tried the carne asada fries and they were big enough to share with my Buddy!? Yummy! I very fondly remember mi tortilla, would frequent often when it was still around. When I found out that Jose's and mi tortilla merged, I had to visit. The service, specialty drinks, and salsa bar was good, but the food was just mediocre. Not sure if mi tortilla was always this way and if I'm just looking at with rose colored glasses, but I wasn't impressed.

Ordered chilaquiles. Beans tough, not fully cooked. Dry, flavorless (not colorless) red rice.Scrambed eggs are tough, not fluffy. Fire hazard, BIG family/table placement blocking path to exit/bathroom. Salsa bar messy , dirty.
