Good comfort food. The pozole is delicious. I don't like menudo but my son said it's better than his grandmas. Tortillas are handmade make sure you get the fresh ones or they are hard. View all feedback.

Best Menudo in Moreno Valley! A must try!! Staff is always on the move! Don't be shy to ask for things because they stay busy! Wifey and I will continue to return!
Chuyita 's by name, not by history. Back in the days when this restaurant opened there were often lines and waits. The owners mother walked around offering samples and bragging about how much she and her son enjoyed process of cooking and offering the community the opportunity to taste what their family recipes tasted like. The first time I had mole ' was here, as a sample from her. The posole ' on the weekends was legendary and often sold out. People brought in a pot from home to get it! Cumin soaked breakfast potatoes, fillet of tilapia covered in garlic and butter. Cops and teachers and most of city hall was often seen here. This was The Spot . Then came a visit where it had the same art, and menu, but wasn 't the same. There were people coming and even families but no wait. I asked if they had changed ownership but they said no (I do not believe this). Then the pandemic. No signs. Closed when it said it was open. Randomly the doors would be open and people would find them open sometimes them not for long periods of time. I saw the doors open this week so made a plan to come. Whenever has this business has nothing to do with the history. This just so happens to have the same name. I sat down to try this and sort it out. First off, it 's 64 outside, the heater is blasting on full inside and it smells badly. Both doors are open. There was no wait. There were 3 of use eating in the restaurant at the time of this review. No senior menu. It 's pricey. Taco 's are $4.99 each. Between the heat and smell I decided to try the beans and tortillas. Table salsa is not typical restaurant style table salsa. It 's spicy and not vinegary. I like all salsa but it isn 't something that I will crave. Beans and ok, but salty. Agian, I don 't need them in my life. Flour tortillas were my favorite thing not enough to impel me to come back. This sad ghost of Mexican restaurants past can be skipped altogether.

I first visited Chuyitas about 5 years ago, and it was great. Fast Forward to 2022.. What happened? Overpriced, horrible customer service, and stinky menudo. 2 thumbs down for Chuyitas.
