The meat they serve is literally mouth watering, melting.. I am Drooling now just thinking of it. It really is that good, the XL is a little too big, the normal size is perfect. Great service also. View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about The D's Souvlaki:
The prices do nothing but show how greedy the owners are. Extra $1 just for extra sauce? Extra $1 if you want mixed meat instead of just lamb or just chicken? How is that justified when it is common practice everywhere else? Give me a break. The quality of the food is NOT up to the standards you would expect for the asking price. The $17 I paid for an "extra large" mixed kebab is an absolute rip off. There is gristle... View all feedback.
The restaurant is located in the heart of the CBD and operates around the clock. The food is top-notch and the ambiance is delightful.
The food at this restaurant was average, the mixed meat souvlaki was too oily.
I found the restaurant's decor to be unusual, but then again, as an American eating Greek food in Australia, what do I know? However, the Gyro was one of the best I've ever had.

If you love your souvlakis, get down to D's Souvlaki van in Niddrie. Huge souvas with plenty of meat inside - lamb or chicken or mixed. Now I mean meat, proper meat, not the fatty meat you often get at many souva bars. Even tastier as Dan cooks the meat on charcoal - yes charcoal - yum yum yum - absolute delicious. Understandable why many of D's customers drive from all over Victoria for the best souva in town. And those with a sweet tooth or my kids favourite - yes a desert strawberry choc souva - Delicious!!
