I live in San Francisco, where there is abundant choices of seafood, so I know when I'm eating quality seafood. The moment I entered ICHTHYS, I could tell fish was their specialty. On the right, there's whole fish on ice on display, where people can buy fish and bring it home. Also you can watch them clean, cut, and slice fresh slivers of different fishes, making different plate selections. Mmmm... my mouth was already watering. On the right there is the refrigerated counter where you can see all your options, and if you eat with your eyes, you'd want to try all. The quality of the fish was so fresh, they only needed to drizzle a little of their sauce. WOW! It melted in my mouth like butter. Also, they have fresh salads, bread, desserts, beverages, wine, etc. Even though the concept is simple, the service is beyond simple. Everyone is friendly and professional. There's outdoor seating and indoor seating. Here, you can eat quality fish for a good price, with wine, with good service, without the pretentious atmosphere and dress code.
