I had a problem free experience with CJs. My telephone call to place order was promptly answered. My order was ready for me at the agreed collection time and most importantly our party of four thoroughly enjoyed our takeaway..
Popped in for a fish supper. Didn’t have to wait too long. The food tasted great and was a good sized portion.
They supposedly close in around 40 minutes, but this is not true. I checked in advance and they are supposed to close at 8. I arrived at 7 and was snapped at by the person behind the counter, who said they were closed. I was standing beside the counter, which was full of fish and lit up. Being told they were closed would have been enough, but the lecture about the shutter being closed was completely unnecessary. Embarrassing customer service. Not a great welcome to Elgin. Pathetic.
Far too slow. Slower than a week in the jail. The place was'nt even that busy yet they took over 45 mins and counting to make a fish supper. Not good enough.
After reading a shocking review from April it seems that our 3 girls are back in motion again. You go in (with mask), place an order and stand outside observing social distancing while the girls call your name when your order is ready very well organised. The food is fresh, delicious but a tad overdone with the batter, which is probably how the customers like it. Great for outdoor types who are hungry and don't care about calories.
