Captain's Table - Moray
Captain's Table
Description
Nestled by the seaside, The Captain's Table boasts a stunning atmosphere complemented by friendly staff and dog-friendly policies. While the setting enchants with its Scandi-inspired décor and inviting seating, the food presents a mixed bag. Diners have praised flavorful dishes like the BBQ chicken pizza and truffle parmesan chips but lamented over cold, greasy scampi and meager portions. Service experiences vary, with some noting delays and rudeness, while others commend attentiveness. Although the restaurant excels in ambiance and beverage selection, a call for improved food quality echoes through the reviews, aiming to align with its picturesque setting.

We had an excellent lunch yesterday. Family took us to this place that looked like nothing special from the car park but as you go round the corner the view of the marina is amazing and there is loads of space both inside and out. Dogs are welcome which was a bonus Food was great and we waited hardly any time at all. Great place!
The dirty fries with pulled chicken... Amazing... Staff friendly great spot... Everyone looked very middle class lol... Shane they ran out of stout but the Speyside IPA was great
I feel like I need to compliment this place. In the midst of a time where the customers are becoming more and more peckish, annoying and demanding huge and silly menus, this place got it right!! Right size of menu, with options for the fast food or the homemade food. We live in Inverness and came across this spot by chance on a day out. What a lovely find! We've been back 3 times now, to have dinner and we were never disappointed! And I don't believe we will be, when they are smart and have the
Probably the best place in the area. The staff are wonderful. The view amazing at any time of the day or year. The ambience cosy and light. My happy place for celebrating, meeting friends, or just for breakfast or lunch or whatever after a walk around the bay.
This place took me back to my youth, it reminded me of the local teenage hang out, it is worn and tired looking in much need of a fresh coat of paint and some tlc. Its a shame because its in a prime location but feels neglected and dated. The door between areas was constantly banged shut by through traffic which was very annoying. The food was reasonable but nothing special and I'm sure I have been to better fish and chip shops with a more varied menu. Please give this place a make over inside and out, its screaming out for some love and attention. Food: 3 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 2 Meal type: Dinner Price per person: £20–30
