Such a great place in a picturesque location on Lake Summit. The staff was helpful and friendly. We chose a historical room, which is very small but clean and comfortable and all we needed. The breakfast is included and is delicious. We enjoyed sitting next to the lake and taking in the view. The lodge has canoes and kayaks that the guests can use on the lake.
We stopped in for lunch. Salmon was wonderful and the chef even popped out to make sure the gluten-free option was to my friend’s liking. Table service was excellent. She was from out of state. They’re lucky to have her. After 30 years up here, I’m used to average-at-best table service. Great experience!
We celebrated our wedding weekend at Summit Lake and it was absolutely wonderful. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, and the staff were incredibly friendly. Lyndsey, in particular, was a tremendous help in the days leading up to our event. She was very accommodating with our many last-minute requests throughout the weekend. Her team was great at anticipating our needs, even arranging for matching clear umbrellas for our ceremony in case of rain—she was keeping an eye on the weather forecast! The food was excellent, and the beds were extremely comfortable. The lake is beautiful, and I highly recommend taking a paddle on it, especially if the weather is nice!
This is a fantastic place to swing by for a coffee, fruit pie, or a slice of pizza. Don't miss their sandwich display! I enjoyed a delicious grilled sandwich just before they closed for the winter. Just a heads up: don't use the porch as a restroom! It’s been a few years since I last visited the restaurant, and while I haven’t stayed at the lodge, I’ve heard great things from those who have. The one time I did stop in for a meal, I had a burger after a long day of paddling. The restaurant has a more upscale atmosphere, and I know several locals from Seward who choose it for special occasions.
What a beautiful lodge nestled between the lake and the mountains! It's definitely worth a visit! We spent two nights here, just an hour from Anchorage. The lodge offers complimentary breakfast and housekeeping services. The amenities are adequate, with water for the Keurig, a refrigerator, and a microwave provided. The cabins are spacious, and the showers stay hot even with four guests using them. The service was outstanding, and we thoroughly enjoyed the food and hospitality!
