Sheila was amazing! My whole family of five loved their meals. I’m eager to try their burger and ice cream on my next visit. The blueberry pancakes were fantastic, and the wild rice was just the perfect comfort food!
I popped in for a quick lunch heading back to Minneapolis. The service was outstanding—friendly and attentive staff! Despite it being a busy winter weekday, the atmosphere remained warm and welcoming. The food was tasty and filling, and the café had a pleasant vibe. They also provided free Wi-Fi for guests. My child gave the cheeseburger 4 stars, mentioning the meat was a bit dry. The garden omelette was delicious, with a great mix of eggs and veggies. The toast came with excellent jam as well!
My husband and I stopped at Lazy Moose with our three kids while passing through town, and we were thoroughly impressed! The menu offers fantastic options—be sure to try the Bigfoot burger. Our waitress was exceptionally attentive and friendly, enhancing our dining experience. The desserts were fantastic as well, especially the epic pie malts! Many items, including the hamburger buns, are made in-house, which really shows in the quality. Lazy Moose is definitely worth a detour from the interstate, and we’ll gladly return!
The billboards of stacked pancakes have always made me hungry. I'm glad I stopped today. I had the wild rice pecan apple pancake. Great texture and flavor. You can tell it is homemade from scratch. The staff is very friendly and a pleasure to workwith. I recommend stopping. Their veggie lovers omelette sounded great too.
This place gets a 10/10 for me. 100% worth a short detour off 35 if you?re going up to Duluth or coming back and want some great homemade food. The Northwoods omelet and eggs Benedict (on homemade English muffin) were both incredible. The hollandaise saucewas so good on both of them. Definitely get the cinnamon French toast as your side for the omelet and/or the special hash theymake. They also brew their own coffee here. They also sell cranberry wild rice bread and buns and have a little gift shop withMN goods. Will definitely be making this a regular stop on the way to the north shore.
Nestled just off Interstate 35 in Moose Lake, MN, this charming cafe is a culinary gem renowned for its homemade offerings. From the wild rice pecan apple pancakes to the flaky croissants filled with chicken salad, every dish reflects careful craftsmanship and delicious flavor. Patrons rave about the friendly service and inviting atmosphere, with highlights including the Northwoods omelet, eggs Benedict served on homemade English muffins, and the famous cinnamon French toast. Coffee connoisseurs will appreciate the house-brewed coffee, while families can indulge in fun desserts like epic pie malts. This restaurant is a must-visit for anyone traveling to Duluth or beyond.
