One of my favorite bars in the Mooresville area. It is a lovely place to grab a drink and a bite and listen to some good live music. They make one of the best Old Fashioned drinks I have tasted to date! View all feedback.
What Jerald Bogisich doesn't like about Bacchus Wine Tapas:
The food was terrible. We waited an hour for terrible food and the waitress never came to us... Seafood Risotto smelled evil. Don't waste your time or money. Hoping doesn't get food poisoning. View all feedback.
Mooresville, North Carolina is located just a short drive north of Charlotte and is known for its small town charm. I was here for business and like all business travelers, my colleagues and I needed to take a break for food and adult beverages. One place we stopped for an early, pre- dinner food and drink experience was Bacchus Wine and Tapas. This establishment features a more intimate, cozy atmosphere. There is a long, communal style table for those who want to converse with a group of friends and separate tables and chairs. The soft lighting and fireplace make for a more intimate setting and the first impression, the moment you walk inside, is positive overall. Bacchus is primarily a wine bar and they do offer a wide selection of wines. I’m not that into wine but to my relief, they also serve a handful of local beers. I had no problem finding beer to my liking and immediately ordered a couple of beers brewed in the surrounding area to go with my food. With the food, I really enjoyed my meatballs with a side of diced potatoes. Small plates are the focus here at Bacchus and not only was the food tasty, it also matched very well with the beer. We had originally planned on a stop at Bacchus as a prelude to dinner elsewhere, but the food was good and we ended up eating more small plates than expected. We visited early in the evening, but we were so satisfied that we didn’t even need to go to dinner elsewhere. The attentive service was yet another plus. Mooresville is primarily known as a Charlotte suburb and as the headquarters for Lowes stores. Most people think of Charlotte when they decide to go out for food and drink, but Mooresville has shown that it, too, is a good place for food and beverage. You need to know the right places to visit and if wine, beer, and small plates and a more intimate and cozy atmosphere is what you want, then Bacchus Wine and Tapas is the place for you. Food and drink can get a little pricey here, but the service and quality make it deserving of a visit.
Amazing tapas. Everything I tried was excellent. Chorizo and figs were great as well as crab dip. Good selection of wine and beer. Expensive but worth it
Good drinks, great food and clean atmosphere. Held a happy hour event here, they accepted reservations over email. Recommend going with a friend who knows how to order tapas; some of the wait staff could be more knowledgeable about the menu specials.
Great date place, good food and wine selection and good service.
