The texture of the chicken was very slimy. It seemed like they may have tried to rehydrate it with water or something, but the chicken was absolutely unappetizing. The combination of the texture and taste of the chicken made it inedible. If you enjoy slimy, fishy-tasting chicken, then this dish might be for you. The only redeeming quality was the cornbread, which was the highlight of the meal. The staff was friendly and accommodating. Tip: fry the chicken and fish in separate oils.

I waited until this place opens. so happy they opened a soul food spot in the mall above all because there are not many choices to choose. the entire staff is amazing and very nice. the food was perfect! my favorites are the smashed truthahn wings with a side of green and mac. each week they have specials, so do they have to check them?
