Some highlights include an excellent Father's Day Brunch with a surprise live jazz ensemble, while others describe a Mother's Day visit as the worst possible experience. Overall, the general consensus seems to be that the food is good, but service can be hit or miss depending on the day. For those looking for a classic steakhouse experience with a Western twist, this restaurant might be worth a visit, especially if you're lucky enough to have a friendly and efficient server like Amanda or Jean.
We went the day before Father's Day at about 2pm. It was not crowded at all (off-time , so the service was great. The food was excellent (you have to try the lasagna! . We thought it was reasonably priced for the value and quality of the meals. We will definitely go back again.
Service was terrible, there were 4 tables total eating there when we went for brunch. Server was super confused about drinks (didn't know if they served orange juice? but offered mimosa's. Wasnt sure on **** mary options or if we could sub out types of vodka. Drinks then took 20 mins. She took our order then told us the specials afterward. When the meal came, she brought 4 of 5, then asked how the food tasted before the last person was served. When the final plate came, it was (smoke salmon that person was served a plate with a pile of tomato, cucumber and salmon and cream cheese. No bagel, that came way later. To build their own. Overall, terrible experience.
When John was hired as manager , he established a well run eatery with great food and a stellar staff. Things were a Little off tonight. We were a few minutes late and when I called, the hostess, who was new to us was rude, asking us why we were coming when I had cancelled the reservation. The entire conversation was unsatisfactory and a restaurant cannot succeed with such a person as point of contact. Our starters were terrific , the chopped salad and my wife’s clams. The entree, a chicken dish, was very tender and cooked well. However, despite being advertised as being stuffed, none was apparent. The food runner didn’t consider it his job to clear away dirty dishes so they were stacked up until the server returned. We are regulars and certainly intend to return again as we have e joyed many fine meals here.
Miss here! always great service and good food! miss the seafood ravioli
It was our first visit and we had a gift card and decided to go to vatertag brunch. we sat immediately and our server, amanda, was friendly and attentive enough. I told her it was our first visit. she told us about the brunch specials and explained everything we needed. amanda was even able to not put a special request on the menu. the surprise for us was the live jazz ensemble. Although it was initially a pleasant surprise, the music was a bit loud for a brunch, so it was a bit difficult to turn around without raising our votes.
